Congressman Dave Taylor is not one of us.
Congressman David Taylor inherited a a highly profitable concrete business and was able to donate $2 million to his campaign. Since he took office most of the money he has raised has come from PACs including AIPAC.
Unlike Congressman Dave Taylor, Jen Mazzuckelli has limited personal resources. She came from a family of public servants who were not wealthy and is a single mother.
Jen Mazzuckelli understands the struggle to make ends meet. She is running for Congress because she is tired of politicians, like Representative Dave Taylor, who are beholded to their campaign donors rather than to the people.

Of the People
For the People
Unlike Congressman David Taylor, Jen Mazzuckelli did not inherit a very profitable business.
Jen was born into a family of public servants. Her mother was an elementary school teacher, her stepfather retired from the Illinois Department of Public Aid and her father retired from the Public Health Service.
While Congressman Dave Taylor has courted the big businesses across the district, Jen has been advocating for the needs of Clermont County and has travelled the district meeting people and talking about their frustrations.
While Congressman David Taylor has wined and dined with his donors at fundraising events, Jen has sat down and had difficult conversations with people who do not agree with her on most things EXCEPT that Congressman Dave Taylor is just another politician that is not interested in representing THE PEOPLE who reside in his district.

By The People
Unlike Congressman David Taylor, Jen Mazzuckelli understands that, if elected to Congress, she was put there BY the people to act on their behalf. Unlike Congressman Dave Taylor Jen will not hide from her constituents because she will never forget that she works for them. And unlike Congressman Dave Taylor, Jen will represent all residents in district 2 regardless of their age, gender, race, national origin and party affiliation. Because that is how the constitution and the framers of our government intended it to be.

Where's the Red, White, and Blue?
Most politicians use the color scheme red, white, and blue to evoke patriotism. And everyone recognizes Democratic candidates when they see mostly blue and Republicsn candidates when they see mostly red. So why am I using gold, white and purple?
I love the color purple - the combination of red and blue. Purple is the color used to describe swing states. Purple is the color of domestic violence awareness. Purple is the color of royalty. Purple is a great color.
But more importantly, the colors gold, white, and violet/purple (give women the vote) are the colors of the womens' suffrage movement.
